Adam is a Director at Baird and the senior Financial Advisor for The Hamilton Group. He uses a deep expertise in equity research and portfolio management to achieve his primary objective: to deliver clients an excellent risk-adjusted return and help them achieve their lifetime financial goals.
Adam’s formative experience as an advisor to high-net-worth investors during the 2008 financial crisis instilled in him the belief that clients dislike losing money more than they enjoy making it – an impression he subsequently learned had been confirmed by behavioral economics and finance research. This insight is fundamental to the approach The Hamilton Group takes in its management of client assets with which they have been entrusted.
Adam graduated from Pomona College with a degree in philosophy, politics and economics. He started his career in financial services with McAdams Wright Ragen in 1998 as an equity research analyst before shifting his focus to Internet and Technology companies. It was in this role that Adam witnessed the collapse of Technology growth stocks, whose strong performance had fueled the late-‘90s surge in stock prices – teaching him the importance of contrarian thinking as well as the benefits of patience and discipline when putting clients’ money to work.
A lifelong Seattleite, Adam currently resides in the city with his wife, three kids and dog, Lucy. When Adam is not working, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and watching his kids sporting events.
